Tomos LTD Chopper | MOPED OF THE DAY

Gold Chopper Tomos

Tomos LTD Chopper creation from Adolfo of QCB.  This is the current version of this build.  The previous version of the chopper looks good too but I am a fan of the look below.  I enjoy it when custom motorcycle styles are carried over into mopeds.  Might have to do with the current trend, but most mopeds are either classic or cafe racer style.

The changes made to the LTD Chopper are subtle and not extremely noticeable.  Yes, the forks are longer than average but it fits well as if it could be OEM.   Another good modification is the extended/stretched swingarm.  Moving the wheel back so it sits behind the seat is a good detail for this build.  I’ve seen other chopper moped builds and a difference in the “lines” of a motorcycle chopper vs moped chopper is the wheel placement.

Let me explain that further.  A motorcycle chopper or bobber typically has the rear wheel located behind the seat.  Most mopeds are designed similar to a classic style motorcycle where part of the wheel is located under the seat.  With the original wheel placement, “slamming” a moped seat looks like the seat is on top of the wheel.  A chopper seat is will sit lower because the wheel is not in the way.  That seat placement helps with chopper aesthetics.
