New Orleans Rally

Mono Moped Clan hosted its annual moped rally in October.  The New Orleans Rally is always a blast to be at.  Here are some of the Mopeds that showed up for the weekend and a recap of the rally.

Razzle Dazzle was the name of this year’s rally.  It was in honor of a founding member Philco of the Mono Moped Clan. The rally took place on Holloween weekend, so costumes were encouraged. What more fun can you have than riding mopeds with friends while in costume?  If you have ever visited New Orleans you are aware of how fun it is.  When you pair that with mopeds, Holloween weekend, and costumes you get a cocktail of braap.

NEW ORLEANS RALLY – FRIDAY

Friday began with a meet and greet at Urban South Brewery.  A nighttime danger ride began at 7 p.m. A danger ride is a moped ride with no “chase” vehicle. The ride left the brewery and went through parts of downtown New Orleans.

The ride ended at Sidney’s Saloon for a dance party and more.  Down the street from Sidney’s was a haunted house for the rally goers to visit.  The night ended or continued with a choose your own adventure.  Some of the group headed to local Mono hangout Parasol’s.  ?

NEW ORLEANS RALLY – SATURDAY

Saturday started with the Swamp Mama’s annual breakfast in Crescent Park. A long ride through and around New Orleans followed after breakfast.  The group ride stopped for a break at the lake where most of these moped images where taken.

The ride continued to Mimi’s in the Marigny.  Mimi’s is at the edge of the French Quarter.  This gave the opportunity to explore the French Quarter and riverfront.  The French Quarter can or is a hassle to navigate in a car but on mopeds, it’s a different experience. Saturday night after party, costume contest and raffle was at Saturn Bar.

NEW ORLEANS RALLY – SUNDAY

Sunday was another beautiful day for riding around New Orleans on mopeds. John and Michelle of MONO hosted a delicious BBQ at their HQ.  This was a time to hang, recuperate, and say goodbyes to friends.  Also, John and Michelle’s was a chance to visit Dizzy Angel’s moped Opossum.
