1979 Puch Maxi vintage moped

This full custom 1979 Puch Maxi built by John Stout (https://www.instagram.com/inspireoahu/) is our moped of the day.  John did a full custom build with this Maxi.

This build is a good example of the awesome things builders are doing in the moped community.  There isn’t anything wrong with building a custom bike with bolt-on parts, and it’s nice to see that paired with the custom framework.  One of my favorite things about building mopeds is how interchangeable the parts are.  The wheels and engine are an examples of parts that were not available on the Maxi models but can be fitted.

All of the original parts on the Maxi have been replaced down to the bolts and cables.   The rear section of the frame was removed then the space was filled with custom metalwork. Finished off with a new paint job and fresh engine tech.
