Project 18 Puch Maxi S | MOPED OF THE DAY

Puch Maxi S

One of the current projects here at the Moped Rich garage is a custom Puch Maxi Sport build. While looking for inspiration on that build I remembered seeing this clean Puch Maxi S build by Project 18 (https://www.instagram.com/project18_official/).  The white decal on the black frame reminds me of the Puch Magnum I built a few months back.

Project 18 is a new moped build shop that was inspired to restore and modify Puch Maxi mopeds after getting their first moped.  This Maxi S is that moped that has started up there moped restoration journey.   It seems like they wanted to keep a simple and classic look.  It isn’t heavily modified beyond the rear fender chop.  They have chosen on a black, white, and chrome color scheme.

The engine has some good performance parts that shouldn’t cause the engine to blow up.  Modist upgrades to the carburetor, intake, cylinder, and exhaust.  In addition to the engine upgrades, the moped is user friendly due to the kick start E50 engine.  I wasn’t able to tell if its an original kick start or has been converted.  Though it loses the pedals of a traditional moped, the kick start is easier for a new rider vs pedal starting.  Would you agree, let me know in the comments below?
